I'm sure the majority of us have experienced an Usborne Book/Pampered Chef/ Body Shop party. But how many of us have looked into trying this sort of work out?
Whichever company you pick there is usually an initital outlay iin order to buy in some stock. Once you start selling you are usually paid through commission. Some people just treat it as a great way to meet people, others to enabe them to work part time to earn a bit of money for the bills or for themselves and there a few you realy work hard at it and can earn a great income.

There are now ample sites that will offer you advice and feedback on the benefits/ donwside of working in direct sales. You could visit Netmums or other similar sites and ask for comments on their forum pages.
No ammount of resreach is too much. It all sounds very tempting but is it as good as it sounds. Ask people who are already doing it, how do they manage? Would they recommend investing in it. If you are talking with recruiting staff remember they gain extra points/bonuses if they sign you up!
One other thing to bare in mind is, your friends can attend so many parties. Then you may find that they sunddenly have incredibly busy social lives!
